Examples of "alexkid"
While residing in Paris, Alea began collaborating with French DJ Alexkid, appearing on his 2003 album "Mint". Their single “Come With Me,” was featured that year in an episode of "Las Vegas", and has been remixed by numerous artists, including Llorca, Brett Johnson and Tiga. In 2009, Alea, Alexkid and French producer/DJ Rodriguez Jr formed the Honeythieves. The trio’s song “Reminder” was in 2009 episodes of "Entourage" and "90210", and was remixed by RAC’s Andre Anjos.
In 2001, he met with Alexkid through Dimitri From Paris and composed with him the ballad "Trindade" for "Trip Do Brasil" (Sony Music). In 2002, with David Duriez, he recorded "Get On Down" (2020 Vision). In 2004, he has composed and produced his first album, "'Round The Clock" (Super Bad Trax), a 12 track journey to the enchanted world of Super Bad, the tenor sax adventurer!
Alea has been singled out for her unique style and presence, and for “providing a strong, sultry voice and some amazing vocal pyrotechnics.” She has toured the world with Nouvelle Vague, including North America, Europe, Russia and South Africa. She has done a European tour with Alexkid in support of the release of "Mint", a tour supporting Sananda Maitreya (formerly known as Terence Trent D’Arby), and performed with Raul Paz. She shared the stage with Juanes at the 2009 Paz Sin Fronteras concert in Cuba, performing to an audience of 1.2 million people.
After splitting from /deConstruction/BMG and his former management in London, he set up his own independent record label S:alt Records (with S:alt being short for suitably:alternative) in 2001 and released his third album, "Organik", featuring the new single "Paths" with vocals provided by Nina Miranda of Smoke City. Guests on the album included Trilok Gurtu, Bill Laswell and Nitin Sawhney. Music from "Organik" was used on various movie soundtracks such as "The Bourne Identity", "Derrida", and "City of Ghosts". It was licensed to Narada Productions' Shakti Records label in the USA. In 2002, an album containing mainly remixes of songs found on "Organik" was released. The album, appropriately entitled "Organik Remixes", contained remixes by the winners of the remixing contest held on Robert Miles's Web site, as well as remixes from well-known artists such as Future Sound of London, Riton, and Alexkid among others. The album also had one new track, "Bhairav", which featured the vocals of Amelia Cuni.
