After battling through the city, they eventually confront Zed, who reveals that Stick's father was involved in project U.D.S. Zed wants revenge for his parents, who were murdered as part of the project. He despises all humans and wishes to turn them all into zombies by spreading the virus. Zed unleashes a powerful U.D.S. inside of him that he calls the God of Destruction, that he plans to use to destroy the rest of the humans, before the three agents defeat him and save humanity.

Having left the slate where it was after the sealing is completed rather than secure it, the slate was forgotten throughout the ages even by the Makai Order until it was eventually dug up in present-day by archaeologists. The slate ended up in a museum as an archaeological relic until a mysterious person, who is later revealed to be Eiji
, unraveled the seal after opening hours.
is a nurse at Fujimi High School. At the beginning of the story, Marikawa is nearly killed by a student-turned-zombie but is saved by Saeko
. She has a rather ditsy personality, and her large bust size is often used as a comical element in the story. She is close friends with Rika Minami, who works as a sniper on the prefectural police Special Assault Team, and she even house-sits for her. The group uses Rika's apartment to rest after they escape the high school. Although she is the oldest of the group at age 27, she is emotionally fragile and does not know what will become of her life. She reveals to Takashi Komuro that she is just a temporary school nurse, and that she is still taking classes and training. Despite this, Marikawa has put her knowledge to good use, and even brings Kohta Hirano to his senses after he had mercy-killed Asami Nakaoka. As the only adult in the group, she drives the bus out of the school, and then Rika's military-grade Humvee.
is a Makai Priestess who is a Darkness Slasher. When her brother Izumo falls into darkness prior to becoming the host of the Horror Latel, Bikuu remains intent to slay him on her own, but is forced to team up with Raiga and Crow as she alone prove to be inadequate in completing this particular mission. Once Izumo is slain, Bikuu begins her search for the person responsible for breaking the seal on the Ady Slate. Once she found Eiji
however, despite noting that he still committed a heinous crime against their order, Bikuu deems him no longer a threat against their order or humanity and helps to treat his wound. She later goes hunting for Zesshin, getting acquainted with Daichi, who later becomes her apprentice, in the process. She learns during this mission that there is more to the human heart and mind than the color of their orbs within, from how Mutsuki's orb turns black while killing her peers trying to steal a spell allegedly to save her son, Daichi, and how the orb of her former master, Byakkai, stays white despite him being the one orchestrating the entire Zesshin incident. She goes against her code of breaking blackened orbs, and executes her former master by breaking his still-white orb, using the Soul Insertion spell.
