Hoegel made his television debut in 1977 series "Auf der Suche nach dem Glück". In autumn 2015, the band signed with Universal. Together with Moses Schneider they recorded the EP "Wird schon irgendwie gehen" at Hansa-Studios in Berlin. In February 2016 they released the single Pocahontas from their upcoming album "Alles Nix Konkretes." The whole album was released in March 2016 and has reached number one on the German album charts.
In 1999 Eißfeldt released his first solo reggae single, a cover version of new wave idol Nena's "Irgendwo, Irgendwie, Irgendwann". In 2001, he then released a solo reggae album, "Searching for the Jan Soul Rebels". Denyo also went solo and released his album "Minidisko" 2001, while DJ Mad produced for other major acts and hosted a weekly radio show. They did not split, however, with Denyo and Eißfeldt going on the 60 Hz-tour together, along with Eimsbush-act D-Flame.

At the same time, "Alles was irgendwie nützt" (""Everything of any use""), an album that had been in the work since Phase 2, were completed. The album consists of rare live tracks, handpicked by 6 supporters of Phase 2 and mixed by Boris Wilsdorf. This was quickly followed by Musterhaus No. 6 "Klaviermusik" (""Piano music""), released on August 31.
While working as a Kabarett artist, Fischer also worked as an actor in multiple films and television series. Franz Xaver Bogner arranged his first television appearance in the series "Zeit genug" and in 1985 Bogner offered him the lead in the series "Irgendwie und Sowieso" and a part on "Zur Freiheit". Later Fischer worked on several films, including "Ein Prachtexemplar" (1989), "Café Europa" (1990), "Go Trabi Go" (1990), "Der Superstau" (1990) und "Das schreckliche Mädchen" (1990).
While in the band, he released "Minidsico" in 2001 under the name Denyo77. It included self-produced tracks as well as collaborations from Eißfeldt 65, Glammerlicious, Milan and DJ Dynamite and featuring Eißfeldt 65 (also known as Hans Werner Votz), DJ Mad an den Cuts, Illo, Paolo 77, D-Flame and Das Bo. Whilst enjoying international prominence on the back of "99 Luftballons", the band continued to enjoy domestic success in Germany with a string of hits in 1984 and the first half of 1985. The "? Alles was irgendwie nützt (English: "Everything That's of Any Use") is a 2006 double disc compilation release by the German experimental/industrial band Einstürzende Neubauten featuring a "Best Of" selection of live songs from various bootleg recordings (ranging from their earliest years to present day), chosen and provided by fans in their Supporters Project (which were then mixed and remastered by the band). It was given as part of a package for those who subscribed to Phase III of the Supporters Project (which eventually resulted in the album Alles wieder offen).
In 1977, Heil met a dissident artist from communist East Germany, the young Nina Hagen, who was electrifying Berlin's punk world with her powerful operatic voice and genre-defying musical style. Hagen asked Heil to join her band as her keyboardist, co-writer and co-producer and for the next few years Heil honed his craft what became the legendary Nina Hagen Band. After Hagen left the group to pursue a solo career, the remaining band members formed Spliff, one of Germany's most successful rock bands of the 1980s. In the 1980s and 1990s, Heil was widely regarded as one of the best keyboardists in Europe. He is also known as the producer of German Neue Deutsche Welle band Nena's albums and singles, including the hit songs "99 Luftballons" (1983) and "Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann" (1984).
In its nationally aired show on 17 March 2016, "extra 3" presented a satirical music video titled "Erdowie, Erdowo, Erdogan", adapted from German pop star Nena's song "Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann". The two-minute video shows a compilation of some of the most absurd public moments of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and footage of the Turkish government's crackdown on the media, women rights protesters and Kurds, while taking a lenient stance on the "brothers in faith from ISIL". The video also criticizes chancellor Angela Merkel for her migrant deal with Turkey to putting Turkey in the role of cracking down on the refugee influx to the EU, mocking her to "be charming to him since he has you well in hand" ().
