He is the founder and owner of the production and distribution company, Aascar Film Pvt. Ltd. Ravichandran started his venture in 1998 with the co-production of "Kadhalukku Mariyadhai". He went on to produce many large-scale Tamil language films and distribute a number of English films across South India.
Mohan Natarajan brought together the team of the successful 1997 film, "Kadhalukku Mariyadhai", in director Fazil and leading pair Vijay and Shalini with the venture. Anandakuttan was signed on to handle the camera and Ilaiyaraja to compose the music, while Shekar took charge of the editing, while the art direction was handled by Mani Suchitra. Shalini Ajith Kumar, also known simply as Shalini, is an Indian film actress who debuted, at the age of 3, as a child artist in the Malayalam film "Ente Mamattikkuttiyammakku" which was produced by Navodaya Studio. In Telugu film Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari (1990) she acted along with her sister Shamili as an orphan child taken care by Megastar Chiranjeevi. She continued to appear in many films as a child actor, credited as Baby Shalini. Tej (born 7 June 1985) is an Indian film actor, who has primarily starred in Tamil and Kannada films and occasionally works as a screenwriter. After completing his Master of Business Management in Europe from a leading university, Tej worked in film and as a software engineer at Infosys Technologies, before making his acting debut in the film "Tamil" by K. T. Kunjomon. The film introduced Shankar, PrabhuDeva, Sushmita Sen and also A. R. Rehman who made it big through K. T. Kunjomon in his initial days. In his subsequent years, he worked in Tamil and Kannada films. He acted in films such as "Kadhalukku Maranam Illai", "Konjam veyil Konjam Mazhai", "Gaantham", and "Kappal".

Vadivelu also asked Ezhil to wait for six months, if he didn't get anyone hero then he will act in it then he was replaced by Vijay.
