Olympus' massif is found about in the middle of continental Greece and it is easy to approach from the national and railway network Athens-Thessaloniki and from secondary roads that connect towns and villages around the mountain, with principal base for excursions the picturesque town of Litochoro, where there is a lot of hotels and taverns. In addition, on Pieria's coastal zone there are many camp sites and lodgings. The nearest international airport is that of Thessaloniki and the closest to Olympus railway stations are those of Litochoro, Katerini and Leptokarya. There is frequent service of KTEL buses and a taxi stand in Litochoro's central square.
Between 2005 and 2010 several sections have been upgraded in order to allow for higher speed, notably the sections Oinoi – Tithorea, Domokos – Larissa and Aiginio – Thessaloniki, and the section Evangelismos - Leptokarya. Currently, the Tithorea-Domokos part is being reconstructed (partly in different route, shortening it from 122 to 106 km) in order to sustain high-speed railway requirements. This part contains 2 tunnels (the 9 km Kallidromo tunnel -the longest in the Balkans- and the 6.5 km Othrys tunnel) and it will be ready in 2017. Another upgrade is the reparation of the damaged electrification of the section Acharnes - Tithorea.
An extended coastal area known as Pláka or Pláka Litochorou (Πλάκα Λιτοχώρου) is located east of the town of Litochoro, spreading from the foot of Olympus to the Thermaic Gulf and extending from Leptokarya in the south to Gritsa in the north. The E75 highway national road passes through the area of Plaka to the south of Litochoro. The coast mainly consists of sandy beaches with seaside resorts as well as hotels, campsites, restaurants, and beach bars (which mostly operate during the summer season from June to September). In the area of Plaka there are private residences, luxurious villas, and cottages.

In 2013 he was given on loan to Vataniakos and then in January 2014 to Fostiras in which he had a full season helping his team to reach the promotion Play-offs to the Super League. On January 13, 2015 he signed a 1.5 years contract with AE Larissa, making 4 league appearances. On July 31, 2015, the young player who had a contract for another year with the "crimsons", was told that is not calculated for the new season by his manager Ratko Dostanić and was asked to search for a new team to continue his career.
