Mackenzie Johnson was born in 1990 in San Luis Obispo, California. By his teens he was living in China while pursuing a career as a professional race-car driver. At age fifteen he became interested in DJing, and he purchased a set of Technics 1200 Turntables. By age 17 he had returned to the United States, where he found himself invited to perform at local events in his hometown. He had a number of lessons with DJ AM, who trained MAKJ on scratching.
The 8th edition took place in Vagator on 27th, 28, 29th and 30th Dec 2014 and for the first time the festival was extended for an extra day and was performed by World no 2 Dj then Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and witnessed around 150 DJ's. Known artists includes Knife Party, Sander van Doorn, Sasha, Krewella, Baauer, Danny Avila, Head Hunterz, Deniz Koyu, Dubvision, Paul Oakenfold, Matthew Koma, MAKJ, Michael and Tarzan Woods performed at the festival.

In 2011, the group collaborated on the album "Kiss from the Past" by Allure, one of the musical projects of Dutch producer Tiësto. In 2012, they collaborated with Tiësto again on the singles "Miami / Chasing Summers" included in the album "", and on a single titled "Hell Yeah!". In 2012, the Showtek brothers began a series of collaborations, a project called Crazy Collabs, with producers from some of the other genres in dance music. Before the official announcement of their collaboration, they co-produced an EP with Tiësto and Angger Dimas entitled "We Rock" as Boys Will Be Boys. In 2014, Jayceeoh gathered musical support from the likes of A-Trak, Diplo, Bassnectar, Borgore, The Bloody Beetroots, MAKJ, and TJR, to name just a few, which ultimately propelled him into becoming one of the fastest rising producer talents in the United States today.
