Shalla-Bal is the Empress of her utopian planet, Zenn-La (in the Deneb System, Milky Way Galaxy), and was the lover of

Radd was given the Power Cosmic and became the Silver Surfer, thus separating him from Shalla-Bal for a long time.
A mutation in the "NDP" gene causes Norrie disease. The official name of the gene is "Norrie disease (pseudoglioma)", and its official symbol is "NDP". The normal function of the "NDP" gene is to produce the instructions for creating a protein called
. For the normal development of the eye and other body systems,
is believed to be crucial.
also appears to be crucial in the specialization of the cells of the retina and the establishment of a blood supply to the inner ear and the tissues of the retina. The role of
in the specialization of retinal cells for their unique sensory is interfered by the mutation of "NDP". This results in an accumulation of immature retinal cells in the back of the eye. When norrin's role in the establishment of blood vessels supplying the eye is disrupted, eventually the tissues will break down.
" Weismeyer is a fictional college student who is obsessed with comic book superheroes. He is featured in the Top Cow Productions comic book series Freshmen.
A glial-derived extracellular ligand,
, acts on a transmembrane receptor, Frizzled4, a coreceptor, Lrp5, and an auxiliary membrane protein, TSPAN12, on the surface of developing endothelial cells to control a transcriptional program that regulates endothelial growth and maturation.
, also known as Norrie disease protein or X-linked exudative vitreoretinopathy 2 protein (EVR2) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the "NDP" gene. Mutations in the NDP gene are associated with the Norrie disease.
The Freshmen return after the Christmas break to the Boughl Science Building.
Weismeyer meets Annalee Rogers's father and started to see a man who looks like Mr. Fiddlesticks, an old story book character of Norrin's childhood. Paula Pophouse has made a better recovery over the break. Annalee and Brady begin to have a romantic affair. Charles Levy is finding his power increasingly intolerable.
begins dating a woman named Amy. A new superhero, Leonard Kirk, joins the Freshmen. After meeting Brady, Annalee is kidnapped by her father. The Freshmen rush to save her.
Shalla was later taken captive by the Enslavers, and was then reunited with the Surfer. Shalla was seen in flashback telling
Radd about his father's suicide. She was seen in flashback again at her first meeting with
Radd when they were children. Shalla-Bal was later abducted with the planet Zenn-La by the Great One. Shalla was briefly reunited with the Silver Surfer, but disintegrated along with the Great One's pocket universe. The Surfer later returned her to life after her soul had been imprisoned by Mephisto.
The Surfer has displayed the ability to shed his silver skin and revert to his original appearance as
Radd, masking the Power Cosmic and allowing him to be more inconspicuous when needed. In this state, he is able to properly eat and sleep.
is not only important in the development of the eye. The mutation of the "NDP" gene can affect other systems of the body as well. The most severe problems are caused by chromosomal deletions in the region of the "NDP" gene, causing the prevention of the gene product, or even that of the neighboring "MAO" genes. When the mutations simply change a single amino acid in
, the effects are less widespread and severe. However, the location and type of the "NDP" mutation does not necessarily determine the degree of severity of the disease, since highly varying clinical signs have been diagnosed in patients carrying exactly the same mutation. Therefore, the involvement of other modifying genes is very likely. On the other hand, if certain structurally important amino acids are changed (e.g. the cysteines forming the putative cystine knot), the clinical outcome has been shown to be more serious.
On the Skrull-owned planet of Hy'lt Minor, the Builders are brutally destroying any civilization the Skrulls created over time. Two best friends, a boy named K'eel R'kt and a girl named Rhena desperately attempt to survive. As the chaos grows, Silver Surfer arrives telling K'eel and the rest of the Skrulls that he is here to save the planet. However, the Skrull commander (believing that

Galactus imbues him with a portion of the Power Cosmic, transforming him into the Silver Surfer. Radd had intended to lead Galactus to uninhabited planets, but Galactus tampers with his soul to prevent this.
This gene is a member of the frizzled gene family. Members of this family encode seven-transmembrane domain proteins that are receptors for the Wingless type MMTV integration site family of signaling proteins. Frizzled-4 is the only representative of frizzled family members that binds strongly an additional ligand
that is functionally similar but structurally different from Wingless type proteins. FZD4 signaling induced by
regulates vascular development of vertebrate retina and controls important blood vessels in the ear. Most frizzled receptors are coupled to the beta-catenin canonical signaling pathway. This protein may play a role as a positive regulator of the Wingless type MMTV integration site signaling pathway. A transcript variant retaining intronic sequence and encoding a shorter isoform has been described, however, its expression is not supported by other experimental evidence.
Galactus is driven to create a being in his own image, who later becomes known as Tyrant. Tyrant rebels and after a battle that ravages entire galaxies, they part. Millennia later, Galactus decides to empower others as heralds to find worlds for him. Unhappy with his first herald, the Fallen One, he dismisses him and later accepts

While inspired by various Silver Surfer comic book stories, the series alters the original mythos in some key ways. The most notable change is the removal of the Fantastic Four from The Galactus Trilogy, the story that serves as the foundation for the first three episodes of the series. Radd partially restored to him by Thanos, protects Earth from the hunger of Galactus because it reminds him of Zenn-La.

Radd. Bruce Karlsson and Nick Sember both had strong interests in music at very young ages. Nick began to mix hip-hop in high school, but the true creativity came when he was given his first trance record.
For most of the project, he had worked completely independently on the design, coding and art. Later in development, he hired a pixel artist to assist with the visual design of the game and went through revisions. He also brought in three renowned videogame composers, Leonard "FreakyDNA" Paul, Jake "Virt" Kaufman and Matt "
Radd" Creamer, to create chiptune songs for the game's soundtrack. Provinciano stated that the game contains roughly two and a half hours of chiptune music. On February 22, 2012, the "Retro City Rampage" soundtrack was released on Bandcamp.
