Kim was the first member to join TVXQ and officially debuted with the group on December 26, 2003. He chose Xiah to be his stage name, explaining that the name was short for "Asia" (taking out the "a" in "Asia"). "Xiah" would be an implication of his desire to become not only a star in Korea, but also a star recognized all throughout Asia.
On May 22, Xiah performed '"Intoxication" for the first time at the "Girls Awards 2010", a fashion and music event held at Yoyogi First Gymnasium in Japan. The other songs in the EP were also performed at JYJ's four days "Thanksgiving Live in Dome Tour" concert held at Osaka Dome and Tokyo Dome in June. Xiah also performed "Intoxication" at Avex's nationwide "a-nation" tour throughout August. In October 2010, Xiah sang the Korean version of "Intoxication" at "Kim Junsu Musical Concert, Levay with Friends".
In 2007, the single's B-side was covered in Korean as "Daydream" by supergroup AnyBand, consisting of BoA, Xiah Junsu, Tablo and Jin Bora. The song was also covered by Korean singer BoA's self-titled English debut album "BoA" (2009).
Musical group AnyBand is a promotional band formed by cell phone brand Samsung's Anycall, which promoted their product "AnyBand" new cell phones. Musical group AnyBand consists of BoA, Xiah Junsu, Tablo, and jazz pianist Jin Bora.

Xiah is the first Japanese EP of Kim Junsu of JYJ. It was released by Rhythm Zone on 26 May 2010 in two versions: Jacket A, a CD+DVD version which includes a music video with 4 tracks, and Jacket B, a CD only version which contains 5 tracks.
The actors received high critical praise for their performances. The story was broken down into two main parts. The first part focuses on Siwon's recovery after the surgery, and his realization that he killed Han Geng and has his heart. The second part shows the hostage situation more clearly. Zhang and Xiah are featured in the second part of the music video.
Kim began his solo career in 2010 with the release of Japanese EP "Xiah", which peaked at number-two on Japan's Oricon singles chart. The same year, he took the role of Wolfgang in his debut musical "Mozart!", receiving critical acclaim and commercial success. After the release of "Xiah", Kim's solo music career was sent into hiatus because of a discord between him and his Japanese label Avex Trax that led to the sudden suspension of all his activities in Japan. In May 2012, he released his first full-length Korean solo studio album "Tarantallegra", while being represented by new management agency C-JeS Entertainment. Following the release, he embarked on his first headlining world tour. He returned with his second Korean solo studio album, "Incredible", in July 2013.
The lead single is a fast-tempo fusion of rock, hip hop, and electronic trance. The music video took several days to complete as its footage was shot in several different countries. U-Know Yunho's footage was shot in Japan, Micky Yoochun's and Max Changmin's in Prague, Hero Jaejoong's in Thailand, and Xiah Junsu's in South Korea. The music video showcases intense and unique dance choreography with stylized outfits.
Despite having TVXQ's activities on hiatus due to a lawsuit filed by Xiah and two other members of TVXQ (Kim Jaejoong and Park Yuchun) against their South Korean label SM Entertainment, he decided to debut as a solo act in Japan. The album had been in production since 2007, but the title was not decided upon until January 2008. TVXQ members Xiah Junsu and Max Changmin participated directly in the making of the album, penning the lyrics for "노을.. 바라보다 (Picture of You)" and "Love in the Ice", respectively. In addition, members Hero Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun composed and wrote the lyrics to "사랑아 울지마 (Don't Cry My Lover)" and "사랑 안녕 사랑 (Love Bye Love)", respectively, for version C of the album.

The South Korean court accepted their claim, and its decision prompted the country's Fair Trade Commission to issue a "model contract" to improve the boyband's situation.

No Minwoo left TRAX in 2006, and briefly became a guitarist for The Romantist before it disbanded. In 2009 he returned to the music scene as the leader of the project group 24/7, with Lee Jang-woo and Hyun Woo. They released the single "24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a Week".
