Arthur Drews published a second part to his book, "Die Christusmythe II: "Die
für die Geschichtlichkeit Jesu"" (1911), to answer objections of scholars and critically examine the historical method of theologians. Joseph McCabe (1867–1955), who started life as a Roman Catholic priest, produced a translation of "Christ Myth II" as "The Witnesses to the Historicity of Jesus" (1912), published both in London and Chicago.
In Jerichow the town church is dedicated to St. George, which explains the image on the coat-of-arms. The first visual evidence of Jerichow's coat-of-arms shows a fairly naturalistic representation with accessories and in incorrect tinctures).
Musaeus Grammaticus ( "Mousaios") probably belongs to the beginning of the 6th century AD, as his style and metre are evidently modeled on those of Nonnus. He lived before Agathias (530–582) and has been identified with the friend of Procopius whose poem (340 hexameter lines) on the story of "Hero and Leander" is considered the most beautiful of the age (editions by Franz Passow, 1810; Gottfried Heinrich Schäfer, 1825; Karl Dilthey, 1874; Hans Färber, "Hero und Leander: Musaios und die weiteren antiken
", Greek and Latin texts with German translation, Munich: Heimeran, 1961). The little love-poem "Alpheus and Arethusa" ("Anthol. pal." ix. 362) is also ascribed to Musaeus.
Isaac Alexander was a German author. He lived in South Germany in the second half of the 18th century, and wrote on philosophical subjects from a rationalistic point of view.
The job application is called "Bewerbung" in Germany and usually consists of three parts, such as the "Anschreiben", the "Lebenslauf" and the "
". "Anschreiben" is the German word for Cover Letter and aims at the same goal: convincing the employer to submit an invitation for a job interview. It is essential to work with the paper size DIN A4 and to stay with a length of one single page. The "Anschreiben" must be signed by hand and accompanied by a "Lebenslauf", the Curriculum Vitae, and "
" as copies of relevant reference documents. The "Lebenslauf" is of an anti-chronological structure and should give information on work experience, education and professional training as well as on applicant's skills. In Germany, the "Lebenslauf" – respectively the Curriculum Vitae – usually includes a photograph called "Bewerbungsfoto". Some employers, mainly governmental organisations, deliberately neglect the photograph to ensure a higher degree of objectivity in the course of assessment procedures. A length of two pages is to be aimed at when generating the "Lebenslauf". In general, there are two options of submitting a job application in Germany: a job application folder ("Bewerbungsmappe") or online ("Onlinebewerbung"). According to a study, the "Onlinebewerbung" was more favored in Germany than the "Bewerbungsmappe" by 2012. Presumably, this development will persist.
He considered it a good omen that while purchasing new medical instruments during his convalescence in Munich, he met Rilke who then turned out to be the first patient of his renewed practice. Upon his own recovery he returned to his Passau office. With renewed dedication, he read medical journals and went to lectures at the clinic to improve his abilities. The Passau practice grew and kept him quite busy. Nevertheless, in a later addition to his autobiographies, published posthumously, he concedes that when he moved to Munich, not long after reestablishing his Passau practice he fully intended to give up medicine for the life of a 'freier Schriftsteller': a wish which could not then become reality.
